Here are the basic rules for RPportal. All users are to follow these rules or risk being banned or having their account deleted.


1. No spamming
Probably one of the most important rules on ALL forums. Spamming fills up our server and holds a lot of data for such little messages. It makes the forum run very slow, which is very inconvenient for you and me. If you spam, you will be given a warning by having 10 posts removed from your total post count. For a second offense, you wil have 20 posts deleted and become banned for a week. Each additional offense will result in an increase of ban time (2nd offense=1 week, 3rd offense=2 weeks, etc.) If you want to stay on the forum...don't spam...

2. No flaming
Flaming is a term used to verbally abuse someone in a forum or on a website via the use of threatening or very mean messages. Flaming is not allowed and is looked down upon. Flaming will result in the same penalties as spamming.

3. No double-posting
This rule only applies OUTSIDE of the fan-fic section. In the fan-fic section, only the CREATOR of the topic may double-post, and only to add chapters. All other users MAY NOT double-post. A double-post will have 2 posts subtracted from your post count each time you double-post.

4. No backseat moderating
Backseat moderating is very n00bish. There is a reason this forum has moderators, who are CHOSEN to do the moderation. Backseat moderating will result in a warning first (via PM), then being banned for 2 days. Please, leave the moderating to the mods.

5. Stay on topic
If you are in a section where there is a specific topic to write about, DO NOT STRAY FROM THE TOPIC. People hate it when other people jump into their coversations and start talking about whatever. Stay on topic.
